For the third successive year we will have a club stand at the MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show being held at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh on 11 and 12 March.
We will have 12 member’s bikes on display, and we will be promoting our Easter Charity Run from the Falkirk Wheel to Kinross on Easter Sunday when we raise funds for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).
As well as collecting donations on the day of the run we organise a raffle which is drawn on the Friday following the run, and we will begin selling the raffle tickets at the show.
It is sometimes disappointing when we hear criticism of the show from fellow bikers. Let’s face it, it will never match Motorcycle Live in Birmingham but some of us have been to Motorcycle Shows in Manchester and it’s as good as, if not better, than them. The organisers put a great deal of effort into making it a good day out and we are grateful to them for the opportunity it gives us to meet like fellow bikers and bike enthusiasts, and further our work for charity. Kids under 12 get in free, adult tickets on the gate cost £17 and advance adult tickets cost £13 plus a service charge so you can spend the whole day there for less than going to see Falkirk FC play at home. We know where we would rather be! The show is what you make it so go and enjoy it for what it is, a day out meeting old friends, making new friends, and remind yourself that Spring and the new biking season isn’t so far away.
Please come and visit our stand, meet our club members, and find out about what we do as a club. Please don’t forget to bring a couple of £’s with you to buy some raffle tickets and help us to make life that little bit better for some less fortunate children and young people with life shortening illnesses for which there is no cure.
